Jesus the Homeless Traveler
The Son of Man has no place to lay His head. Matthew 8:20.
Ministry of Jesus begins after his Baptism by John the Baptist at 30 years of age. Luke 3:21-23a.
Jesus was then led by the Spirit into the wilderness for 40 days where he was tempted by the Devil. Luke 4:1-4.
Jesus then goes to Galilee and Nazareth where He was brought up, and teaches in the Synagogues. Luke 4:14-16.
Jesus was rejected in his home town in Nazareth after He preached and was cast out. Luke 4:18,21,28-30.
After teaching and healing the sick, Jesus often went into the wilderness to pray. Luke 5:16.
Preparing for the Sermon on the Mount Jesus went to a mountain to pray & spent the night praying. Luke 6:12. Mark 1:45.
After the Last Supper, Jesus leads the 11 Disciples to the Garden of Gethsemane. He separates himself and prays to His Father alone. Matthew 26:42-44.
After His crucifixion, Jesus placed in a borrowed tomb. Matthew 27:57-60
After His Resurrection, Jesus walks on the road to Emaus to appear to 2 disciples as the Risen Lord. Luke 24:13-20,30-34.
Homeless travelers in the Old Testament.
Enoch walked with God and was not. Genesis 5:24, Hebrews 11:5.
Abraham the Homeless traveler. Genesis 12:1-3.
God’s tells Abram to leave his country and go to a land He will show him.
Abraham leaves Ur of the Chaldees, goes to Haran in north Syria and then to Canaan land.
Due to famine he goes to Egypt for several years, then returns to Canaan land.
Joseph sold to Egypt by his brothers. Genesis 37:26-28.
After His resurrection Jesus ascends to his home in heaven which He prepares for those that believe on Him and walk with Him.
Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.
The New Heaven and New Earth. Revelation 21:1-5. Unity of people of faith that were before Christ came and after He ascended to heaven.
