Death of the Believer

It is a precious moment whenever a believer passes from this life into Heaven.

Psalm 116:15: Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

Our Lord and Saviour came to this earth and was crucified, his earthly body died, and he rose again the third day, and ascended into Heaven.

Christ made this huge sacrifice so that Abraham, and every single person of faith would go to be with him when we leave this earth, However it is not automatic. There is a critical requirement: To accept Jesus Christ as one’s Lord and Saviour,

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For those that are believers, when their visit on earth comes to an end, each will go to their eternal destiny.

Heaven was Abrahams Choice when he accepted God’s call. Genesis 12:1-3.

Many place their hope and trust in worldly riches and goods, some in pleasure and entertainment.

At the end of their life, they face accountability to their creator for how they have lived their life, they will realize that all of the treasures of earth are, in the end, folly, or in the words of King Solomon, Vanity.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

God is a loving and forgiving God.

Man has to seek God, and accept him as his personal Lord and Saviour.

Rest assured that those who are believers will indeed see Abraham again, and will be with him forever in Heaven.

2 Timothy Ch 4

7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

1 Thessalonians 4

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Isaiah 57

1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away… the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.

2 He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.

What a wondrous and Joyous reunion it shall be when we once again are rejoined with all of those who are believers, and to be with our wondrous Lord and Saviour in Heaven Forever.
