PASSING FROM DEATH TO LIFE

This message is based on Jesus’s statement in John 5:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
There are other Bible verses that address the meaning and the reason one passes from death to life including statements by Jesus Christ.
1 John 3:14 “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.” This refers to continued spiritual death in those that have not placed their faith in Jesus Christ.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.“ Speaks of passing from perishing to Everlasting Life.
John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
In John 14:3 Jesus refers to the fact that He will deliver those that place their faith in Him from earthly death to Eternal Life
Romans 6:11 “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Galations 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Spitual life begins when one places his or her faith in the crucified Jesus Christ and it continues into eternity.
1 John 5:12 “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
2 Corinthians 1:21 “Now He which establisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God.” This refers to God the Father providing His Son Jesus Christ who sacrificed Himself by dying on the Cross to bring people of faith to Life in Christ and God.
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
Ephesians 2:1 “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.”
Ephesians 2:5 “Even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved.”
