Live for others
Proverbs Chapter 11 has a potpouri of proverbs.
Interpersonal relationships demand fairness, humility, integrity, mercy and generosity. He who waters will himself be watered. Proverbs 11:25b.
Reaching out to others. This applies to family and community. He that giveth will increase. He that withholdes will tend to poverty. vs. 24.
Followers of Christ should not live for themselves. II Corinthians 5:14-20.
The love of Christ constrains us in that he died for us, therefore we should not live for ourselves. vs. 14-15.
If anyone be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away, all things have become new. vs. 17.
All things are of God who reconciled the world to Himself through Christ and has comitted unto us the ministry of reconciliation. vs. 18.
We are now ambassadors for Christ. vs. 20.
