Job a God fearing pre-patriarchal man that may have lived before Abraham.
God had blessed him in many ways including Wisdom, Wealth, Family of 7 sons & 3 daughters for whom he prayed and offered sacrifices.
Satan makes before the Lord makes false accusations(Ch.1:6-12.
Job falls on hard times. He lost his wealth, lost all his children, lost his health, wife and friends turned against him.
What comes to mind when Job is named: patience (James 5:11); extreme suffering, persistence in integrity (Job 2:3, 10,& 31:6); self righteousness, and false accusers with bad logic.
Job’s confession of faith: Job 19:23-27. I know my Redeemer lives indicates unshakeable faith unaffected by circumstances. God is the ultimate and final judge of all things
Job’s prayer is answered. Job 42:10-11 And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he had prayed for his friends; and the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. Then there came to him all his brothers and sisters and all who had known him before, and they ate bread with him in his house; they showed him sympathy and comforted him…
